The first studio album from Phillip Presswood in three years, the project asks the question of humanity's role in the universe - the mythical Solea being a home that can never be reached, but the journey to which teaches us about life. Phillip composes each song, performs all of the vocaling, and plays each instrument. Using his voice as a separate instrument, some tracks include up to 400 vocal layers individually recorded at his private studio on the Texas gulf coast. The son of an immigrated Irish family, he draws upon traditional Celtic melodies as well as religious themes in his compositions which combine with contemporary American and British pop rhythms. 2008.
